FAQs

Who qualifies?

Septic subsidies in Orange and Seminole counties, often under the Florida Department of Environmental Protection (.gov) or local programs, generally assist residential homeowners in designated Priority Focus Areas (PFAs), such as the Wekiwa/Rock Springs region. Eligible applicants must own a home with an existing, failing septic system, typically located on one acre or less, and upgrade to nitrogen-reducing systems. Note: As of late 2024, some state-level funding for these programs has been exhausted, and new applications may be paused or limited.
